Beautifully bound, with a note on the binding loosely inserted by the publisher. 'Because many of the characters mentioned in this book wore deerskin...the leather used upon the binding is natural deerskin...usually used for the making of gloves.' The leather is very soft and subject to scratches, thus limited by the publishers to the spine and backing over linen cloth sepia pictorial cloth boards.
