About the Book Iceland and Greenland are located in the north Atlantic. Iceland is a country that is a volcanically active island. The gulf stream keeps Iceland warmer despite having an very high latitude. Greenland is covered by an ice sheet permanently, and is the only place in the world to have this apart from Antarctica. Both of these islands have had historical influences from Nordic culture. About us Leopold Classic Library has the goal of making available to readers the classic books that have been out of print for decades. Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

This is a pre-1923 historical reproduction that was curated for quality. Quality assurance was conducted on each of these books in an attempt to remove books with imperfections introduced by the digitization process. Though we have made best efforts - the books may have occasional errors that do not impede the reading experience.
