A delightful vintage, and RARE, children's poetry book, the classic by Robert Louis Stevenson, "A Child's Garden of Verses". It has 6 beautiful color illustrations. Gray hardcover with a color illustration on the front cover of a child playing on the beach. Back cover has some light stains near the edge. Binding is intact but a little bit loose. Measures 6-1/2x8-3/4". No date but possibly first edition, around 1920. NOTE: There is an error on the title page, just before the frontispiece, the title is printed as "A Child's Garden of Verse" (without the "s" at the end.). I believe this adds to the value and rarity of the book. I saw this book selling for $300 once, so my price is definitely more reasonable, especially for something that is a beautiful vintage book to collect!
