Hardcover / Original, very decorative publisher's cloth designed with gilt lettering and ornament on spine and excellent art-nouveau-inspired cover illustration by Katharince Cameron. Excellent condition with only minor signs of external wear. Some minor signs of occasional foxing only but overall excellent even inside ! Binding firm with very few signs of rubbing and a very minor lesion to spine only. Endpapers and spine in firm condition and NOT broken ! Bookplate / Exlibris of Evelyn Lazarus to pastedown. Katharine Cameron RWS RE (26 February 1874 – 1965) was a Scottish artist. Born in Hillhead, she studied at the Glasgow School of Art, from 1890 to 1893. She studied at the Atelier Colarossi, with Gustave Courtois. In 1928 she married Arthur Kay. She was a member of the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists. She exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, from 1894 to 1965. She also worked as a book illustrator.
