    Jacqueline East

Board book (Barron's Educational Series, Aug. 1, 2007)
Toddlers will giggle when the cover's animal face wiggles! It's Little Kitten, who happily wiggles her ears after she has caught a fish. Kitten is one of four sturdy Wiggle-Waggles board books. Each shows a cheerful animal's face on its front cover, which is constructed of layered board sections. The faces present a 3D effect, but the feature that makes them really unique is the way that they wiggle. Toddlers will also like to touch the furry or downy patches on Bunny's, Kitten's, Duck's and Puppy's faces. The humorous stories told inside the books are in verse, and the illustrations are every bit as bright and colorful as the faces on the covers.

    Virgine Aracil

Board book (Twirl, Aug. 6, 2019)
A loving celebration of the endearing bond between parent and child, Virginie Aracil's tender offering will become a bedtime favorite for young children. Each spread features a parent with their child, sharing different kinds of kisses: from a sweet little peck for a baby mouse to a ticklish nuzzle for a baby giraffe and a warm snuggly smooch for a polar bear cub. But nestled next to his mother, one little baby will get the biggest, most special kiss of all. The diecut pages are graduated—giving children a "What's next" sense of discovery ("Whose ears are peeking out?")—and sturdy, not only making this satisfying for little hands to hold, but ensuring that it will sustain the multiple readings this book is sure to demand. Kiss, kiss!

    Bethany Diaz, Vova Kirichenko

Hardcover (Bethany Diaz, Aug. 15, 2016)
Having a son with kissable cheeks was the inspiration for Bethany Diaz as she wrote this book. Her son loves reading books and learning new things and seeing new colors. Therefore, she was inspired to write a book involving all of those things as well as creating a book centered around family and loving ways one would receive kisses. Children as young as a year and a half, up to age 7 would really enjoy this book. There are some fun scenes illustrated throughout with vibrant colors. It is a great book for the whole family.
