After a war that brought devastation and paranoia to the people of earth, it seemed that nothing could get worse for Nora. That is, until she gets kidnapped. She gets taken to Beyond, and island floating above the Bermuda Triangle. Nora meet Aaron, who seems strangely familiar. Her top priority is to get off of the island, but Aaron's priority is to keep her there. As secrets are revealed, Aaron starts to believe that he might not be working for the right side while Nora is faced with a question: does she really want to get off of Beyond?

Corith and the crew of a research vessel are driven off course by a freak storm into the Beyond. The Beyond is a taboo boundary that the church teaches means exile and abandonment by the Creator. Despite this Corith and his adoptive guardian, Professor Aldred, endeavor to discover a way to return. They are thwarted at every turn by the ship's clergyman, the Pryator. The situaiton gets interesting as they discover that things in the Beyond are not like what they were taught.
