Stories can often have a profound and powerful influence on a child's mind, and so choosing the best stories can be important for ensuring that your children grow up well and are able to approach life in a fun, as well as responsible way. These are precisely the goals that The Adventures of Buster Bear and the related stories included in this exceptional book are pursuing. Delightfully written by Thornton W. Burgess and meant for younger children, the stories mainly revolve around various animals in the forest and their various interactions. Unlike most children's stories about animals, however, these focus mainly on activities that the animals are actually able to complete. None of the stories are unrealistic, and the focus is more on the various morals that each story presents – although your children will never suspect that, as all lessons are introduced in a very subtle and elegant fashion. The main story features Buster Bear, who moves to the Green Woods and immediately causes distress among the other animals, who, however, change their attitude towards him once they realize that Farmer Brown's boy is actually afraid of Buster. Another delightful little set of tales has to do with Old Mother West Wind, who, together with her little breezes, offers help to animals in need. Also, You'll find many diverse and beautiful stories that are quite educational. These include Danny the Meadow Mouse, Grandfather Frog and Bobby Coon. If your child loves stories about animals, these beautiful little tales will definitely be worth taking a look at, not only because of their educational value, but also due to how entertaining they are. Even if your little ones aren't yet able to grasp the meaning of the stories and learn all of the many lessons they have to offer, they will definitely be thrilled hearing about the adventures of Grandfather Frog or the challenges that Danny the Meadow Mouse has to face.
