This short, easy-to-read children’s story is told with 332 words and 34 color photos. The story is about a stuffed animal named Kitty and Kitty’s friends Al and Wendell, who are stuffed baby raccoons. The three friends take a trip to Grandfather Mountain, a state park in North Carolina. There they see deer, a bear, an eagle, a cougar, and an otter. They also go on the Mile High Swinging Bridge and visit the Nature Museum. The story ends with them riding home in the car.
