Oxford Reading Tree Fireflies titles include a variety of topics covering all areas of the curriculum, from science to citizenship. The books are unchanged - they have a bright modern page design, and are illustrated with colour photographs.The teaching notes for the Oxford Reading Tree Fireflies levelled non-fiction books are full of practical suggestions for using the books, saving you hours of preparation time. They have been updated in line with the simple view of reading and the renewed Primary Framework for Literacy. They nowinclude guidance for group/guided reading, comprehension and word recognition, and assessment. These replace the existing Teaching Notes and Guided Reading Cards.The notes for parents/carers and teaching assistants have now been added to the inside covers. These notes replace the existing Take-Home Cards.

ORT MagicPage for VLEs has been developed and tested for use on Netmedia, Kaleidos v3, Moodle and other SCORM 2004-compliant Virtual Learning Environments. All of the Oxford Reading Tree MagicPage activities have been disaggregated, tagged and packaged so they can be uploaded as packs or as separate content objects onto your VLE. This allows you to search for activities and assign them via the VLE to individual pupils.

Oxford Reading Tree Stages 8-9 Glow-worms were formerly Jackdaws and More Jackdaws poetry. Each of the six books in the pack have fresh new covers with exciting illustrations by a variey of artists. This poetry selection has been chosen to match topics relevant to the age group - eggs,giants, foxes, sea, wizards and space. The level of difficulty matches Y2 T3/P3 T3. Although the poems are completely independent of other Oxford Reading Tree Stories, they contain the same themes as in the new edition Oxford Reading Tree Jackdaws Anthologies.The Teaching Notes booklet included in the pack offers a Vocabulary Chart listing Rhymes and Spelling patterns and Year 1-2 high frequency words for each of the individual poems within a title; a Curriculum coverage chart showing teaching objectives covered; and suggestions for Speaking andListening, Guided/Group reading, and Writing activities.
