While attempting to survive another day, sixteen year old Sai Naveen finds herself tangled in a web of murder, love, and lies as death plagues the town. Sai Naveen’s life has been an anticipation of death. Raised in the soot covered city, it is the only thing promised. No parents. No safety. No hope. The poor girl thought that it couldn’t get any worse. Then it happened. Sai showed little concern towards the bodies suddenly appearing in the nearby river. She had learned to disconnect herself from the fragility of the human existence. But her plan of emotional removal is foiled when she finds herself drenched in the very blood that would tie her to the ring of murders. It stained her body just as her unknown presence would stain the town of Infern. It was the entity that spoke to her in the night, her conscience’s darkest creation that warned her of the deaths. He gave her a choice, a choice between the lives of those she despised or the condemnation of the only happiness life had to offer her. As simple as it seemed, even Sai’s pessimistic mind could not overcome her heart’s pure intentions. Was Sai capable of saving the very people who threw her and those she loved aside? Or would it all just go to hell? Beyond The River Styx is a story of the acceptance of imperfections, the struggles of life, and love’s ability to find its way in even the darkest of times.
