  • Cotton Candy on the Moon

    Kelsey Townsend-Miller, Caitlyn Massey

eBook (Huskies Pub, April 27, 2020)
This book was inspired by my daughter Lilah. Lilah is a 4-year-old little girl who was born with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. A one in one million incurable, painful, and fatal genetic condition characterized by extreme fragility of the skin, connective tissues, and mucosal membranes. These children are often referred to as “butterfly children” as they are internally and externally as fragile as a butterfly. Although she fights open wounds and blisters daily, she is the epitome of strength and bravery. Her story and the story of many other butterflies inspired me to write this book. In hopes that children like Lilah might not feel so alone. They are the most incredible warriors on this earth! They, like Lilah, are the heroes among us! With more awareness comes the possibility of a cure! Thank you for doing your part and for sharing her inspirational story with your children!
