    Julia Cameron

eBook (Christian Focus Publications, March 1, 2012)

He even became Chaplain to the Queen. What was it that brought the naughty little Sunday School student full circle? How did he get into Time Magazine as one of the 20th century's most influential people? Why is 'Uncle John' listened to by many, read by thousands and recognised across the world as a pastor, friend and leader? His life, faith and the Word of God hold many of the answers. This book will introduce you to all three.
  • Rebels Rescued

    Brian Cosby

language (Christian Focus Publications, Sept. 7, 2012)
Have you ever had a shopping cart with a broken wheel? You push it around and all it wants to do is run into the sides of the aisle. If you were to let the cart go on its own, it would immediately turn and smash into that case of pickles up ahead! You are like that shopping cart! The bad wheel is your heart. It's always veering off, leading you away from what you were created to be. You were created for God's love and glory, but instead, your heart pulls you away from Jesus and into something much worse than a case of pickles. Being a rebel at heart means that you do not have the ability to choose God or even to respond to God on your own because you are spiritually dead; we all are. Reformed theology teaches that, because we are more sinful than we could ever imagine, it can only be God who takes that broken shopping cart wheel (our sinful heart) and replaces it with one that has both the ability and the desire to seek him and to follow him. By faith in Christ, you are no longer set to smash into the aisles of sinful destruction. No, he promises to carry us in his grip of grace.

  • If I Should Die Before I Wake: What's Beyond this Life?

    K. Scott Oliphint, Sinclair B. Ferguson

eBook (Christian Focus Publications, April 8, 2015)
According to the pollsters, belief in Heaven is actually on the increase. Although heaven may be popular; probably less thought is given to how to get there than your annual holiday. It is only when events rudely awaken us that we are pressed into asking some of the serious questions about the place where most people expect to go. Sometimes the prompt is our children with a plaintive "Where is Grandma now?" Mostly, though, thoughts of heaven, and more particularly the death that precedes going there, are pushed out by the hedonistic lifestyle that most of us live. If the purpose of life is simply to enjoy: then an absence of life (i.e. death) is a recipe for no fun at all! Facing death enables us to face life - knowing more about your future makes an enormous difference to the present. It's time you looked your future square in the face and thought 'What does it hold for me?'

Thank you Catherine for the careful research and animated writing put into this inspiring story of our time"Richard Bewes ~ OBE, Author & retired rector of All Souls Church, Langham Place, London"As I grow older, my confidence in the inspiration and authority of the BIble has grown even stronger. So has my conviction that only Christ can give us lasting hope...As the Bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".Billy Graham
  • The Victorian Era: A Captivating Guide to the Life of Queen Victoria and an Era in the History of the United Kingdom Known for Its Hierarchy-Based Social Order

    Captivating History

Paperback (CH Publications, June 15, 2019)
If you want to discover the captivating history of the Victorian Era, then keep reading...When Queen Victoria stepped onto the throne of Great Britain and Ireland in 1837, gone were the days when the monarch had supreme authority over the kingdom. Victoria ruled at the head of a government with which she was meant to converse, debate, and ultimately guide, and it was a job she sometimes struggled to perform. Victoria described herself as an emotional creature and blamed her gender for what she believed were her shortcomings as a monarch. The queen suffered emotionally during her childhood and also in the early part of her rule, but despite a few dramatic scandals at court, Victoria came to be loved and respected by the majority of her subjects across the vast British Empire. An unprecedented number of important social and economic changes occurred during Victoria’s 63-year reign, and that span of time has come to signify Britain’s coming of age into modern history. One of the most important changes experienced by Great Britain between 1837 and 1901 was the population explosion. When Victoria was crowned, there were about 13.9 million Britons; by the time she died, there were an estimated 32.5 million. The sharp increase has been related to modernized methods of medical treatment, sanitation, and social welfare, but each of those industries was far from perfection during the 19th century. Nevertheless, the birth rate increased and the mortality rate fell. In The Victorian Era: A Captivating Guide to the Life of Queen Victoria and an Era in the History of the United Kingdom Known for Its Hierarchy-Based Social Order, you will discover topics such asAn Unexpected HeiressThe AccessionA Palace, A Groom, and Two ScandalsRats, Fleas, and Other Victorian PestsThe Cholera Epidemic of 1846-1860The Sanitation RevolutionA Queen in MourningAnatomy, Medicine, and the Body SnatchersFrankenstein, Horror, and Science FictionEgyptomania, Scientific Racism, and the Suez CanalCults and the Church of EnglandA Letter from ChinaThe Industrial RevolutionHomelessness and PovertyVictorian Spirits and SpiritualityA Victorian ChristmasThe Victorians on EvolutionMadness, Hysteria, and MasturbationEmpress of IndiaJack the RipperThe 20th CenturyAnd much, much more!So if you want to learn more about the Victorian Era, scroll up and click the "add to cart" button!
