*******DISCLOSURE ! ******* This offering is a former school library book ! But don't let that deter you. The actual condition is really pretty good. Some soil marks on page edges and the cover and standard "Library thingees inside but I could find NO pencil or ink markings on any pages. Also, this is a childhood edition so the print is a bit larger. My opinion? this would be fantastic for a aspiring to play an instrument. Proof that if you really want to do something bad enough, YOU CAN! Just like the great SATCHMO did. P.S. And the price is right !! You won't be disappointed.

From the Childhood of Famous Americans series for young readers. Tom enjoyed his family's independent life in the wilderness. He liked to swim and fish in the streams and to hunt in the woods. He liked to float imaginary boats on the streams and watch them wind their way through the woods. This type of free living during his childhood gave Tom a lasting spirit of independence. He came to feel that all people are born equal and that all have the right to be independent.
