  • Vacation on Earth

    Ismael Camacho

Paperback (Aeon Publishing Inc., Dec. 22, 2008)
About the book: We are all connected through the experience of losing a loved one. In this story of a child's grief and recovery, a boy finds wisdom in his grandfather's words as explained by his father. Love, faith, and prayer are described as fundamental principles of human life on Earth. "The journey has no ending," the child's father explains, "as long as you understand the principles of your creation and how to fulfill your potential." Based on a true story, Vacation on Earth shows us what it takes to enjoy life and grow up happy. Dad explains loss in Grandfather's words, bringing hope and peace to a child's sorrow, which is not always easy. The boy's knowledge and talents will take him beyond his dreams, to live a pleasant life on Earth. About the author: Ismael Camacho was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he was always looking for role models, while being influenced by a traditional Roman Catholic family at home. He received a formal education from the Jesuits in a private Catholic school, San Ignacio de Loyola. Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering in 1993 from the University of Puerto Rico, he has traveled for many years, both domestically and internationally, as a result of his job. He is currently raising his family in Miami, and continues to work as a Regional Manager for a Fortune 50 company while helping others through his local parish, through the Knights of Columbus and the Emmaus Brotherhood. Although this is his first book, he always has been an inspiration to others through his charismatic speeches, passionate writings, moving presentations at work, at home and at church. He loves to spend time with his wife and two sons and writes private essays, poems and prayers to family and friends. As everyone around him is touched by his words, Ismael is now working to help others through this book.
