    Published in 1867, "The Man With The Broken Ear" was written by French novelist, publicist, and journalist, Edmond About.In 1859 Renault comes back home after spending 3 years in the mines in Russia. He brings back a mummy of Colonel Fougas from 1813. The mummy will be resurrected and the colonel is 24 years old when he wakes up. He does not understand France anymore.
