Alicia is the only unicorn in the perfect forest, and although she has many friends she is starting to grow lonely and unhappy. She believes she may well be the last Unicorn there is anywhere. She sets out on a journey of self-discovery that takes her far beyond the Blue Mountains, intending to learn, well... everything. Along the way she makes new friends, including Bertha (the purple penguin), Mr. Man (a Human on his own journey of discovery), Robert Andrew (a helpful elephant) and a host of interesting folks, both Human and not. Their travels take them into a city where they encounter the whole range of Human reactions to the unfamiliar, all the way from the warming and welcoming to the not-so-welcoming... Alicia and her friends even join a circus, and there she learns a lot more than she may have bargained for! ...And while all this is going on, somewhere far to the East in a herd of wild horses a young colt who feels just as out-of-place in his world as Alicia does in hers, finds a power within himself he didn't know he had ... and learns that there may be more to his destiny than he thought! A sweet allegorical tale of discovery, innocence, and the power of Believing that we really can all get along if we just try.
