This book is a collection of 114 Bible stories that are especially engaging for young, inquisitive minds. Combined with colorful, detailed illustrations, the stories capture the attention and explain the significance of the people, places, and events for God's children today. My First Bible includes a broad collection of stories from both the Old and New Testaments. The stories are retold in language that is especially appropriate to be read aloud to young children. Each story is communicated in such a way that the hearer quickly grasps the message God has for His people and how the story promotes the Gospel message of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ. This book clearly explains that the Bible is God's word revealed to His people and that Jesus is God in the flesh, who came to bring forgiveness for sin and to save us from eternal death.

    George Routledge and sons, Barry

    (Barry, Sept. 3, 2018)
I found this old edition interesting with its original drawingsFirst Publication date: between 1865 and 1889 by George Routledge and sons. Do not be surprised if you move from the 19th century to the 21st century. It was missing the letter J, and there was no drawing for the letter X. Personally, I like to mix the old and the contemporary. (Barry)A Bible for children.
