  • The Big Cheese

Nia Bailey, Dr Stanley G Robertson

Paperback (Independently published, Feb. 23, 2019)
Do you think you should tell the truth even if you know you are going to get in trouble for it? To tell the truth or not tell the truth, that is the question! And that's just what George and Lenny are faced with in The Big Cheese. My name is Nia J. Robertson, otherwise known as The Nia J. The main characters in this story were going to be named Fab and Squeaky. But my dad suggested I name them George and Lenny because that was the name of the characters in the book Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. In that book, a little guy named George tricked a big guy named Lenny. I didn't want to do it, but when your dad suggests something, most of the time it's not really a suggestion.Talk-About-It BooksTalk-About-It Books is a series of children's books based on stories created and developed by children. All the stories have some social or moral redeeming value and each book features a "talk-about-it" question at the end. The talk-about-it question is a question raised by the author and is based on situations played out by the characters in the story. The aim is for the child and the parent to discuss the issues raised in the book and talk about it.
