    Record a Memory: Our Family Christmas is a recordable keepsake journal that gives families an opportunity to document Christmas memories through audio recordings, photos, and the written word. After writing in the journal about a favorite holiday memory, a person can read the entry aloud and record it in his/her own voice. The voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book s batteries are changed.Each section of the journal has a recording opportunity for a favorite story or memory, as well as places for Christmas photos, Christmas wishes, Christmas recipes, family traditions, and personal thoughts. Holiday topics include: Ready for the holidays Christmas Eve Christmas memories The holiday table Christmas pastRecording a voice is easy. Follow these directions: Choose a story to record. Press the RECORD button and the button with the corresponding illustration at the same time. Hold them down until you hear a beep, and then begin recording. There is 90 seconds of recording time per button. When finished recording, press RECORD again. Press the illustrated button to hear the recording. Re-record until you are satisfied with your recording. Repeat the process for each story. Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won t be inadvertently erased.Three replaceable AAA batteries that power Record a Memory: Our Family Christmas are included. Please note that in order for the book to function properly it must be recorded on a flat surface and in a well-lit area, so that the holes located on the right side of the book have an unobstructed view of a light source. The same conditions are also required for proper playback.
