Record a Memory: Our Family Christmas is a recordable keepsake journal that gives families an opportunity to document Christmas memories through audio recordings, photos, and the written word. After writing in the journal about a favorite holiday memory, a person can read the entry aloud and record it in his/her own voice. The voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book s batteries are changed.Each section of the journal has a recording opportunity for a favorite story or memory, as well as places for Christmas photos, Christmas wishes, Christmas recipes, family traditions, and personal thoughts. Press the RECORD button and the button with the corresponding illustration at the same time. Hold them down until you hear a beep, and then begin recording. There is 90 seconds of recording time per button. When finished recording, press RECORD again. Press the illustrated button to hear the recording. Re-record until you are satisfied with your recording. Repeat the process for each story. Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won t be inadvertently erased.Three replaceable AAA batteries that power Record a Memory: Our Family Christmas are included. Please note that in order for the book to function properly it must be recorded on a flat surface and in a well-lit area, so that the holes located on the right side of the book have an unobstructed view of a light source. The same conditions are also required for proper playback.
