Every effort is being made today to present religion to the minds of children as something that is simple and natural, that appeals to their sense of what is beautiful in nature and fine in life. In day school and summer camp children are taught to be observant of natural phenomena: of the ways of the animals, the growth of the trees and plants and flowers. They are being taught also the the patterns of behavior necessary to school and camp life, in play and in work. More and more children are becoming interested in mechanical apparatus, in the working of those inventions familiar to them. All of these have become a part of their mental preoccupation.
