2 Audio CD's - 1 Hour and 37 Minutes. The Adventures of Paddy Beaver another fun and exciting tale of the habits of our animal friends written by the great Thornton W. Burgess. There is great alarm among the creatures of the Green Forest, the waters of the Laughing Brook and Smiling Pool have become a mere trickle, and they need to find out why! They discover that the cause is a newcomer, Jerry Muskrat's cousin, Paddy the Beaver. Apparently, Paddy has come south to make himself a new home, and, being a beaver, that means stopping the waters of the Laughing Brook and Smiling Pool to make a new pond for himself and a comfortable new home of sticks and mud. But what will happen to the waterways in the Green Forest? In this adventure we learn how Paddy builds his dam and his house, and how he stores his food. We also learn little lessons about life, such as the importance of planning before doing, caring for Nature, trusting others, the benefits of working together, and how wonderful it is to have a job one can sink one’s teeth into. Our CDs are packaged in premium DVD cases with CD labeling printed right on the CD in full color. We do not use paper stick-on labels, these tend to peel off over time and can really jam up car CD players and computers. We chose to use DVD cases for our CD sets, as we have found they hold up better in shipping and in regular usage than the typical CD jewel case. Please note: All recordings we offer on CD are produced with recordings from Librivox, public domain works recorded by volunteers. We at St. Clare Audio would like to thank the volunteers for their gift of offering their work to the public domain. St. Clare Audio's niche is providing them in ready-to-purchase CD sets, for those who cannot download, or have not the desire or time to do so, as well as the benefit of a nice case and professionally produced CDs. The Adventures of Paddy Beaver Audiobook is read by John Lieder.
