    Hardcover - 1916. "First Edition" (Date appears on title page, front & back with seal.) Publisher: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1916. Dark green boards with gilt lettering and seal on front and spine. Boards are square, lightly rubbed, particularly at spine top & bottom. Covers have some light whitish spots here and there. Interior pages are evenly age toned, light foxing but unmarked. Spine and binding are tight. Enoch Crane was planned and begun by F. Hopkinson Smith and completed by F. Berkeley Smith. Illustrations by Alonzo Kimball. Frontis piece with tissue guard. This 1st edition comes from a private collection.
