This is one of two novels published between 1943 and 1957 by the controversial author. The Fountainhead was a grand success in the 1940's, and was followed by this huge book, Atlas Shrugged, in 1957. Rand is noted for her philosophy, called Objectivism. Note: the interior pages are most readable, but the type size is on the small side.
