  • Silver: The Silver Series Book 1

    Cheree Lynn Alsop

(CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Dec. 16, 2011)
“Supernatural romance fan- This was a fast paced and well written book. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't stop reading.” Paranormal Romance Reader “Angsty teen werewolves? hell yeah! This book gives a new look into the werewolf genre, letting us get into the nitty gritty of werewolf politics, but keeping it YA with young characters and plenty of angst. The main character is strong and developed; the supporting characters are interesting and fun. I liked the setting just because of its seeming innocuousness. It was a fun ride.” Daxthedamned-“SF fan”- Amazon Reviewer “I honestly am amazed this isn't absolutely EVERYWHERE! Amazing book. Could NOT put it down! After reading this book....I purchased the entire series.” Josephine- Amazon reviewer “Silver is one of the best werewolf stories I had read. The main characters were likeable and the plot was very well done. It was a page turner for sure. I love werewolf stories. It is a good read for young and old. This one kept my interest going until the end. I had a hard time putting it down. Plus it turned out to be a great love story as well.” Kathy Hallettsville- Amazon reviewer “What a fun and engaging read. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Not your typical "youth" series. No high school angst, just real characters and a captivating story line.”- ruralmom- Amazon reviewer “If you enjoy books with suspense, fighting, and romance you'll love this one.” Kathryn Cooper- Book Blogger from Clean Teen Fiction “This is not your ordinary werewolf story and I am so glad that the next book is already out so I can jump right in and read it cause I am hooked on this series. Silver is a page turner that had me up past my bedtime because I did not want to put it down. . . This story was awesome, faced pace with lots of action and a sweet romance on the side. It does contain some violence that is tastefully written.” Tifferz- Book Blogger “Cheree Alsop has written Silver for the YA reader who enjoys both werewolves and coming of age tales. Although I don't fall into this demographic, I still found it an entertaining read on a long plane trip! The author has put a great deal of thought into balancing a tale that could apply to any teen (death of a parent, new school, trying to find one's place in the world) with the added spice of a youngster dealing with being exceptionally different from those around him, and knowing that puts him in danger.”- Robin Hobb “From the start of the book you are engulfed in sorrow, danger, adventure, and romance.” Malcay- Amazon reviewer “More, I know it's wrong to start a review with just one word but that's the first word that comes to mind after I read the first novel in this series of books from Cheree Alsop.” Emily Tuley- Book Blogger from AngelsCryHavoc “I recommend this book for anyone wanting to discover a great new author and supernatural series.” Karen- Amazon reviewer “All around this book was such an awesome read. If you enjoy books with suspense, fighting, and romance you'll love this one.” Niala- Goodreads Reviewer “This new werewolf series is different from what you might be expecting. It has more heart and love, and feels more like what it would really be like to grow up as a werewolf. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to read urban fantasy or good young adult stories.” Trisha Payne- Goodreads Reviewer Silver, book one of the Silver Series, is a coming of age story about a teenage werewolf whose father is murdered. He has to come to terms with his new life, new school, and new friends while trying to prevent more killings. Attempting to make peace with the territory’s pack and finding out that the girl next door might be more than she lets on make his situation even more perilous.

Life has other plans, though...Twin BreakWhen a wreck decimates her brother's team, Sara has to decide: use her gift, or suffer the bitter taste of defeat? But is it cheating? Overmatched, outgunned, down for the count, she only has one thought: just win, baby.Friday NightSara's given up reading minds—it’s more honest that way. When she falls for the school's baddest rich boy, she wishes she could read his mind. Stunned by a death, she realizes that criminals are after her, too. It all comes down to Friday Night. GlideIf you could read minds, would you try to even a score? Sara's torn in two directions: she loses her guiding light, and a demon comes back to haunt her—can she face him and kill the pain for good? And a basketball championship is on the line. Sara has to take her team all the way, it's her last chance. It used to be “just win,” but now there's something more…Interview with the author in April, 2016:Q – The three books Twin Break, Friday Night and Glide tell a complete story, but each are self-contained. Did you plan that?A - (Laughs) I wish! The concept of Twin Break came to me in a dream. I had to write another book because the main person, Sara, was so interesting. While I was working on the sequel, Friday Night, I realized that it was actually two books. So I set aside the material for Glide, finished Friday Night, then wrote Glide.Q – Why should people read The Glide Series?A - A young person has an interesting challenge: give in to her darkest impulse, or find a way to let go and trust that things will work out. For some people it will be a real release.Q – These three books are different than your other books. Why?A – I really like suspense thrillers. In Friday Night and Glide, I was able to create a thriller inside a book where the setting is sports and the paranormal, in a coming of age, teen-to-young adult setting.Q – Are the books YA or middle grade?A – Not really. The main characters are teens, and anyone above the age of 13 can read and enjoy them, but they do have some adult language and adult situations. Twin Break starts in the teen sports realm, but in Friday Night, Sara's story becomes dark. Glide addresses traumatic childhood issues and the desire for revenge. Friday Night and Glide have a paranormal thriller conclusion, and I think people will find the Glide ending theme interesting.Q – Why basketball?A – Twin Break was set in basketball because the game of basketball moves quickly and the story moves quickly. Friday Night and Glide naturally follow it.Q – Will the series continue?A – Definitely. Sara is growing in so many ways that I may follow her story for a few more years. I'm planning to write a fourth Sara Stefan book after writing a straight thriller.Q – Anything you want to tell people about this series?A – You’ll like it because it moves fast, explores emotions and has a thrilling conclusion. And thanks for reading!
