A hero's journey story involving a young man who leaves home because he believes his parents do not care about him. He finds himself in helping an elderly couple find their lost son. In his quest and numerous adventures he is aided by a mirror with seemingly magical properties; yet, he has to complete his quest and find his way home without its help.

Merlin and a group of his friends were at their middle school on the night of the Fall Festival. Ms. White, a long term substitute teacher, showed them a mirror and told them to look into a mirror and think about whatever they saw. The magical mirror gave the students a curse or blessing based on how they saw themselves in the mirror. Unfortunately, it was Halloween when they looked into the mirror and everyone was wearing costumes. If they saw themselves as shorter than their friends, they might start getting shorter each day. If they thought they looked strong, they grew stronger each day. Merlin was dressed as his hero, Merlin the Enchanter, and imagined that he could do magic as well. Unfortunately, a friend was not so lucky. He had to either help his friend and risk losing his powers, forget about her and keep the powers of the mirror. Unfortunately, he and his friends were not the only ones who looked at the mirror. Another group of students had also gained powers from the mirror. They felt no need to help the cursed friend and decided to stop Merlin and his friends from getting to the mirror.Will he risk losing his powers to help his friend? Can Merlin and his friends save the cursed friend or will they be stopped by the other students?

Abigail is checking out her seventy five year old decrepit body in her mirror, and being a witch, she thinks she has control over her destiny to a large extent, but she is wrong as she quickly finds out when her mirror magically begins to speak and tells her that she has but one week to live.At first Abigail is very startled that her mirror is speaking and she thinks she is hearing things, however, she soon realises that the mirror actually speaks and is only trying to help her.After arguing with her mirror for a while, Abigail finally accepts that she needs to do as instructed, and that is, she needs to allow herself to be transported back in time through her mirror, at which time she will have to fix up all her bad deeds. If she does this, she will magically be reverted back to thirty years of age, and she will be allowed to live forever. Although this feat may prove virtually impossible due to all her previous bad deeds.
