I finally reach Alaska and live at the peak of Denali. It’s not that bad, compared to your freezer. My dragon form takes place there. The sirens sing with joy, and the kraken even performs a piece of music! Well, the story is just like that. The end will really surprise you. I typed this by myself, with the help of some albino deer living nearby. I hope you enjoy the story, and I enjoyed typing it as well. Find out my secret at the end of the book, and I really am sad right now. My paws are itching to type more, but I know that this is the end of the story. The Dreamer Seeker's older sister, Moira, has dreams and longings in her heart about the future. Trapper and Fantasy convince her that only in the World Beyond the Kingdom will her dreams come true. But they have lied to Moira. She doesn't realize that the path she has chosen will end in the Valley of Lost Dreams. The Doorkeeper didn't stop the children with his usual question, "Do you REALLY want to see the King?" Instead, he quickly opened the door just in time for the army of children to race through. They slid down the shining hallway—not for fun today, but just because it was faster than walking—and flung themselves through the door of the Throne Room. "King, King!" Seeker cried out. "Moira left the Kingdom!" "I know," the King said quietly. "You KNOW?!" Seeker exclaimed. "Then why don't you do something?! You have to go and get her and make her come back!" The King shook his head. "No, Seeker. Not until she really wants me to."

He develops flight plans, builds experimental contraptions, and has far-flung adventures, but at the end of the day, his favorite thing to do is still to sit and watch for those he loves best: the birds. Il Sung Na creates a world at once whimsical and aspirational, where anything is possible and, yes, even pigs can learn to fly.

The story is one which I invented on the fly, over the course of months, to help my toddler get to sleep. He experiences serious FOMO around bedtime and I wanted to tell a story that has no predetermined ending and gives him permission to dream as far as he can imagine. There are some philosophical groundings here as I am riffing on Zhuangzi's Butterfly Parable, that one is merely a butterfly dreaming of being a person.Starting at a dreaming child and moving to animals and then to abstract concepts, this story encourages creative thinking while being a calming, dreamy guided meditation about the connectedness of all things. While the book eventually ends, the reader may continue going deeper into more elaboration until the kiddo is asleep. A they/them book because pronouns matter.
