  • Crescent

    Mary Jane Capps

Paperback (DreamFusion Press, LLC, Sept. 30, 2015)
"Crescent is teen supernatural fiction at its best..." ~D. Donovan, Senior Reviewer, Midwest Book Review When your beloved witchy grandmother is dead, your best friend is dating the son of one of the meanest women in town, and your dreams have been hijacked by Southern belle spirits trying to kill you, what’s a girl to do? Caffeine up and go on a ghost hunt, of course! Crescent is the story of 16-year-old Stella Fortunat, a girl who wears way too much eyeliner and drinks an excessive amount of coffee. Most of her life has been occupied by work at her family’s café, blending her own eye shadows and sitting at the feet of her Tarot reading, Voodoo practicing “GG”. Now, Stella’s own prophetic dreams have taken a very dangerous turn and everyone seems to think she’s crazy. From mystical visions to masquerade balls, Crescent is a journey that’s dark, playful, poignant and funny.

  • The Crescent Moon

    Rabindranath Tagore

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Sept. 13, 2014)
I paced alone on the road across the field while the sunset was hiding its last gold like a miser. The daylight sank deeper and deeper into the darkness, and the widowed land, whose harvest had been reaped, lay silent. Suddenly a boy's shrill voice rose into the sky. He traversed the dark unseen, leaving the track of his song across the hush of the evening. His village home lay there at the end of the waste land, beyond the sugar-cane field, hidden among the shadows of the banana and the slender areca palm, the cocoa-nut and the dark green jack-fruit trees. I stopped for a moment in my lonely way under the starlight, and saw spread before me the darkened earth surrounding with her arms countless homes furnished with cradles and beds, mothers' hearts and evening lamps, and young lives glad with a gladness that knows nothing of its value for the world.
  • The Clan of the Crescent Moon

    M. P. Stojak

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, April 26, 2017)

When he accidentally touches two of the rods together, he and two bullies that have followed him home from school are pulled to an alternate universe where technology doesn't exist. Soon after his arrival he's given to Sir Gawain as a page and introduced to the rival factions. One is headed by Lord Baltimore who lives in the Castle Neowyn where Baltimore City exists in his own world. The other faction is from the City State of Alexandria in what is Virginia in Jarrod's world. They are ruled by a Council of Elders. Sir Gawain is part of the Alexandrian group who has traveled to Neowyn to negotiate boundaries between the two city states. The church, although altered, is a strong force in Neowyn, while Alexandria was founded by the Clan of the Crescent Moon who have special powers. The church believes that the gifts of the Clan are an abomination. Alexandrians embrace the Clan even more than Lord Baltimore suspects. Gran is missing. Sir Gawain is in danger. Jarrod must rely on his own wits to discover who is behind the plot to cause a war that will destroy his new found family.
