The Bobbsey Twins is a series of 72 books written for children by various authors under the pen name of Laura Lee Hope. What makes this family unique is the double set of twins. Bert and Nan are brown haired slender twins who usually know the correct way to behave. Their younger siblings, Freddie and Flossy, are blonde, blue-eyed chubby little ones who usually get the children into one scarp after another. Dinah and Sam are the African American couple who work for the Bobsey's. These stories have been enjoyed by elementary school aged children for several generations.
