    Escape is written in two parts. The first is Escape from Germany and is the true story about two brothers, ages 19 and 20 who fled from Germany in 1882. They had their parents' blessing but little money. They knew if the attempt succeeded they would have freedom that was not available in Germany. They also knew if they were captured during their effort to escape, they would be immediately drafted into military service or endure years of imprisonment. How many young people could make a decision to leave home knowing that they might never again see their family? If they are successful, how will their daring venture affect the lives of their descendants?Escape from the Farm describes the memoirs of one of those descendants.
