Books in Playhouse series

This book is part of a series of plays for very young children to read aloud or act out in groups. They give children as young as five years old the opportunity to become aware of the genre of drama and to speak and perform for their teacher, schoolmates and parents. Some of the plays feature characters from the "New Way" series, but the plays work equally well with children who are using other reading programmes. Simply written, "Playhouse" is material designed for the Speaking and Listening component of the National Curriculum.
