This is J.W. Lawburns first published book, and he holds it close to his heart. The title "Fred the Fly and the Boom Boom Blossom" has a special meaning for him. The main character "Fred" was named after his friend, Red-Headed Fred, who inspired him to write this book. The Boom Boom Blossom is a fictional flower that was named after his little cousin, Stephanie, who is fittingly nicknamed "Boom Boom." DJ the Dragonfly also has a special meaning, as the initials, DJ, are those of his late grandmother Dolores Joanne, who passed away while this was being written. He only hopes that you, the reader, enjoy reading this book as much as he did writing it.

Our Family Treasure is an inspiring book about creativity, friendship and family. The story is taken from the author's own family history and tells of his lovely Aunt Elsie who collected odd bits of things and made her life a joyous creation.
