W.W. Rouse Ball was a Smith Prize winner and a fellow at Trinity College. He was also the founding president of the Pentacle Society at Cambridge, one of the oldest magic societies in the world. With all the intelligence and esoteric knowledge, he wrote a very interesting book on mathematics. Not just 1+1=2, but fallacies, puzzles, curiosities, story problems, geometric dissections and magic squares to name just a few.
