Originally published in 1880, this was the first definitive account of the horrible fate suffered by the snow-bound Donner party in crossing the Rockies. This copy is the 11th edition, published in 1918. The American Historical Review states "McGlashan's work will remain the standard, as well as the pioneer, presentation of facts." This book has all 112 pages, and they are clean and intact though tanned with age.
