My interest in it grew, primarily, out of the wish to learn the meanings of the Indian names of localities in New England and the neighboring States. Mr. Winsor, the librarian, kindly gave me permis sion to have the manuscript copied, and every facility for the subsequent study of the original text, side by side with my copy, in the correction of the proof-sheets.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
