A lot happens on Lollypop Street, especially to the children who live on the same street. In the latest collection of children's short stories by author Hazel Nasman, Lollypop Lane, the stories begin around a niece and her two aunts as they learn to live together. Hanna, the niece, helps the fighting sisters, Aunts Ruby and Lemonade, accept one another and handle family baggage that emerges with the arrival of their sister, Aunt Lulu. Meanwhile, a boy and his babysitter, Caleb and Tillie, explore mysterious sounds in Caleb's house, and little Eliza shows new friend Cindy that animals can talk. The stories also include the children on a picnic in town and learning lessons with a favorite teacher, Miss Smith. Within the stories are life lessons on telling the truth, helping one another and being nice to others, as well as praying to God and knowing He listens.
