Joey B., a southern pastor's young son, and Nukie, his best friend from the wrong side of the tracks, live in the small town of Walter. Though they do not go looking for trouble, they have a funny way of finding themselves in it. Their church's head mother, Mother Vernita does not find anything they do a bit amusing. It is after she teaches the boy's Sunday school class on John 9 that Joey B. and Nukie decide to become young healing evangelists. BUT their idea of what it takes to produce the healing is not exactly what Mother Vernita had in mind when she was teaching the class. What follows is a hilarious chain of events, which ends with a surprising twist and some valuable lessons learned. Does healing really take spit?
