First edition. In the seventh book of the series, Orlando and his family take a trip to the sea for their summer holiday along with their friends Vulcan , Venus and Cupid who are horses. There are many adventures including a rescue at sea. The boards are bright and colorful as are the full color drawings on each page. Bottom edge has light shelf wear. The dust jacket is nice and bright although there is a 3" closed tear and another shorter one about an inch above it near the head of the spine on the front panel. Illustrated in color by Kathleen Hale. Bound in the publisher's original color pictorial paper covered boards with an black cloth spine. Ex non-circulating library with a book plate on the front paste down end paper and a pocket at the rear, otherwise internally clean and bright. The dust jacket has several closed tears and chips to the extremities, otherwise very good.
