The book is intended to be read to pre-readers by parents and/or teachers as a means of introducing children to the wider world. The characters and situations have been written to fall in line with standard school curriculum for U.K. pupils aged 5 to 7 years – i.e. Reception, First-and Second-Year classes. The aims of Key Stage One have been borne in mind when compiling the contents. As reading skills develop, it is hoped that youngsters will want to continue exploring the stories for themselves.Part One: - a compilation of short stories covering subjects such as starting school; welcoming a new brother or sister, the natural world and caring for creatures with whom we share our planet. Part Two: - written in rhyme, about a group of toy friends enjoying fun and adventures together in their imaginary world
