    Sharon Crick

    Paperback (PartridgeSingapore, Oct. 12, 2012)
This book is about the variety of natural sounds relating to birds, trees and animals. Then comes the sounds of mobile building machinery. The book is in stages, as the natural sounds of the environment are the first sounds before the builders arrive with their sounds. I was inspired to write this book because it is real and is happening around me. I see it as a positive learning outcome for young children ages ranging from 3 to 5 years old. Young children's understanding of natural sound and building machinery will be enhanced. Through this book young children will appreciate and will develop a real learning experience relating to sounds. The story is fun, interesting, and educational drawing the attention of the young listener. Personification of animals, birds, and machinery will bring great entertainment and delight to a young listener. Young children would be able to learn the concept of different sounds, recognize and identify the characters in the story. Depending on some children who are keen learners and have interest for books even a 2 year old would enjoy this book. The word count is only 250-270 as young children in this age group do not have a long attention span.
