Farmer's son Mark is delighted when they manage to rent their newly converted barn to a London-based family for the whole summer. But Mark's delight turns to horror when the Beesley-Trings, quickly renamed the Beastly Things, arrive. They are completely mad and even worse, they seem determined to ruin Mark's life.
