The original story idea came about many years ago when a young girl named Jessica, who was very shy and quiet, needed a friend she could share her thoughts and dreams with--an instant playmate. Her parents bought her a beautiful hand-made muslin bunny at a craft fair one day and Jessica named her Winnie . One day Jessica s family decided that every child should have a Winnie to treasure and be close to while growing up. So began the idea of producing Winnie dolls for other children to enjoy and a storybook that tells of a little girl like Jessica finding her own Winnie.
