The original story idea came about many years ago when a young girl named Jessica, who was very shy and quiet, needed a friend she could share her thoughts and dreams with--an instant playmate. Her parents bought her a beautiful hand-made muslin bunny at a craft fair one day and Jessica named her Winnie . Jessica was told that Winnie was a very special bunny because if she listened closely, she could hear Winnie whisper to her. Winnie went everywhere with Jessica and they were best friends. Sleepovers, vacations, and even with her to get her tonsils out--Winnie was always by her side. She even followed her to college many years later. One day Jessica s family decided that every child should have a Winnie to treasure and be close to while growing up. So began the idea of producing Winnie dolls for other children to enjoy and a storybook that tells of a little girl like Jessica finding her own Winnie. Winnie s promise is to go everywhere with you and always be a true friend. This storybook is a wonderful inspiration to children in providing a bonding experience and showing how children can interact with toys in such a innocent way. This book can be sold separately through Amazon.com and other retailers, but as indicated, it was originally designed as part of a package sold with the Winnie Bunny doll. Winnie Toys is dedicated to high quality and complete customer satisfaction.
