  • Stories for Pearl. Full color edition: Short stories written for Pearl, an autistic girl

    Alexandru Craciun, Vasile Poenaru

    eBook (ePublishers, Dec. 1, 2018)
I had the opportunity to meet online the parents of an autistic girl from the UK. They told me that the 11-year-old girl’s face expresses joy when she hears stories brought to life by her father. And if they include rhymes, the effect is even stronger. As I love rhymes and rap music, I accepted this challenge and wrote these stories until I ran out of ideas. Apart from the rhymes, they noticed that the girl’s reactions are positive when she hears about otherworldly creatures, fairies, mermaids, elves, dwarves, gnomes. The message of my stories is that any creature in the world can be good and no matter how hard it is, the good eventually overcomes evil, just as it happens in fairy tales.I’m 18 and I’m in the 12th grade at a high school in my hometown, not far from the Piatra Craiului Mountains.
