    Follow the life of French heroine Joan of Arc (1412-1431) also known as the "Maid of Orleans" who united the French against the English occupying forces. Jeanne d'Arc was born to a peasant family in Lorraine, France. At the age of 13, she started to hear voices speaking to her from Saint Michael, Saint Catherine and Saint Margaret inspiring her to lead the French against the English. She was burned at the stake in 1431 and charged by the church for being a heretic. Beautifully adapted into comics by Samuel Willinsky and Henry C. Kiefer and restored by Bruce Downey.
