  • The Man in the Iron Mask

    Alexandre Dumas, Christopher Cazenove

Audio Cassette (New Millenium Audio, Dec. 1, 2001)
Christopher Cazenove, formerly Ben Carrington on TV's Dynasty, distinguishes himself with a career in film and television. He performs this adventure with the flair and style he is known for. Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnan, the intrepid adventurers of The Three Musketeers, return in this story bristling with what author Alexandre Dumas considered life' essential, "l'action et l'amour." Dumas based this novel on the historical legend of "Phillippe," a youthful prisoner who has languished in a dark prison cell of the Bastille for eight long years. Aramis, with characteristic derring-do, has bribed his way into Phillippe's cell to reveal a shocking secret - unknown even to the boy himself. A secret that could topple Louis XVI, king of France. As the end approaches, pitting musketeer against musketeer, we can only await the tragic end for the loser. A classic thriller of yesteryear.
