Timmy a Welsh Mountain Pony, lives with Bruce, a Donkey, and Humpree a Camel, in Digsdale, nestled in the Yorkshire Dales. Timmy’s idyllic life changes, when his family the Donald’s have to sell the family Farm to pay a Tax Bill. The family and animals emigrate to New South Wales, by ship taking six weeks. Their journey to Australia is marred by disasters; they encounter separation, loss and trauma on the journey. A chance encounter at a watering hole, with a kangaroo called Kim, who is wise and intuitive, leads to Timmy, Bruce, and Humpree, undertaking an epic journey through The Australian Bush. It has its moments of drama, fear, and anxiety, and moments of humour, fun, and enduring friendship, that establishes close bonds for life. Kim leads Timmy, a rag tag of other animals on an adventure, culminating in happiness, joy, and emotion on Christmas Eve. An event that many involved in the story thought was impossible.
