Paperback (Forgotten Books, Jan. 10, 2018)
Excerpt from The Ghost GirlIn Bil Sayers' novel, The Halls of Eblis, many of these incidents are told. The telling is the admirable work of an admirable writer. Events are set forth, not as they did occur, but as they should have occurred, which is the only way to tell a story. In the present document that process has been reversed.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. • The Ghost Gang

    Gordon Hutson

eBook (Pen Press, Sept. 8, 2013)
The story of the friendship between a nine-year-old English schoolboy and a gang of pocket–sized ghosts from Thailand. Henry is an orphan and nobody wants him, but the spirits take pity on him and think up a lot of clever tricks to help him. There are several different characters in the gang. There is Captain Perfect; the leader, a snoop spirit, a gossip, Mr Cool; a macho spirit, a lazy grovel and a servant spirit who looks after all the others. Words like macho and snoop are clearly explained. There is also a brilliant talking spirit cat that can copy people's voices and many other sounds. They work well together as a team and they make things very difficult for anyone who is unkind to Henry. For example, they soon make things very difficult indeed for a nasty sports teacher who bullies Henry about his lack of ability in sports. The reader will learn a lot about Thai culture from this lively international story. It is beautifully illustrated with more than twenty images, many in full colour. It is very useful for readers learning English.
