  • George and the dragon

    Helen Whapshott

    (, Feb. 7, 2019)
George had never been bothered by school, he found lessons relatively easy, but not too easy so he wouldn’t be accused of being a teacher’s pet or a know-it-all. He wasn’t too short or tall, he was, well he’d like to think so anyway, an average looking boy, the one thing that he did stand out in was sport, he’d try anything, he had medals and trophies for football and judo, and he was improving his swimming style so he could compete in that as well. But he had a secret and when that secret was found out by a bully, they make his life very difficult indeed and make sure no one wants them on their team. Then one day he discovers an injured dragon in an abandoned building site and needs the help of a school outsider to help them get better. And George discovers a few truths about himself, friendship and how to stand up to a bully.
