Her formal education began at St. James Elementary school in Red Bank New Jersey where she first showed a gift for writing. She graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School having developed and interest in writing and directing class shows. Following her graduation, she obtained her BA degree from The College of Saint Elizabeth and completed her MA at Loyola Marymount University majoring in education. She taught English Language and Literature and also Spanish and French at Chaminade College Preparatory Middle School. She has recently retired from teaching to pursue writing.
