Audiobook (Harmonic Wave, Oct. 23, 2012)
When Glinda informs Ozma, the ruler of Oz, that there is trouble brewing between two distant lands in Oz, Ozma decides to take Dorothy along with her and try to put an end to the problems. Ozma and Dorothy travel first to the land of the Flatheads, where they encounter the evil dictator Su-Dic and are forced to discover they will not be able to make Su-Dic want peace. They then move on to the land of the Skeezers, whose evil queen Coo-ee-ooh is unwilling to make peace as Su-Dic. Ozma and Dorothy then find themselves trapped in the land of the Skeezers while the Flatheads attack and transform Queen Coo-ee-ooh into a swan. While Ozma and Dorothy try to find a way out of the sticky situation, Glinda assembles a group to come help rescue them as well. L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) was an American author best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Baum wrote 13 sequels to his original Oz book, of which Glinda of Oz was the 14th and final in the series. Baum also published an impressively large number of other novels, short stories, poems, and scripts. He had a great interest in bringing his work to the stage and the screen and worked hard throughout his life to achieve this.
