The Poingo Storybook: Disney Princess Sleeping Beauty is designed for use only with a Poingo Reader (sold separately) and is not compatible with the newer My Poingo Reader. Data for the storybook must be downloaded to a Poingo Reader from Poingo.com (see instructions that come with the product). The Poingo reading system is designed for children ages 3 and older.Touching a Poingo Reader (it looks like an oversized pen) to the words and pictures on the storybook pages activates audio that narrates the story, enables songs and other sound effects, and triggers additional activities. The Poingo Storybook: Disney Princess Sleeping Beauty tells the classic story of the baby Princess Aurora who grows up to become Sleeping Beauty. Three good fairies gave the baby magical gifts. The first fairy gave beauty, and the second gave song. Before the third fairy could bestow her gift, the evil Maleficent put a curse on the baby: Before sunset on her 16th birthday, the Princess Aurora would cut her finger on a spinning wheel and die. The third fairy changed the curse as best she could: If the princess cut her finger, she would fall into a deep sleep, not die, and awaken to a True Love's Kiss. Each page is beautifully illustrated by the Disney Storybook Artists. The storybook conforms to the specifications for toy safety of ASTM F963-07.
